Of the Australian ones, they’re not as ‘polished’ as the ones from the US – ranging from horrid audio quality through to very young kids who (through no fault of their own) have very high pitched voices, and poor conversational skills.
I’d like to do a few ‘pilots’ of an idea for a podcast that I’ve had where there are between 2 and 4 participants (including myself as ‘host’) and we discuss tech-related issues in a round-table style way. I’d like it to have a little structure to it, but not that much that it ends up being almost scripted.
I have a few friends in mind who I have, or will be contacting soon to discuss the idea with – both male and female (would be good to have some female ‘pannelists’ to help shrug off the boys-only-club stigma that techies seem to have here in Australia.
The podcast would simply be a recorded Skype conference call, so included in the pilots would be a proof-of-concept to see if the bandwidth I can get out of people who are not too far away is enough to keep the audio quality at an acceptable level.
Hopefully I’ll be able to do the first one in the next week or two – depending if I can get enough people interested, and co-ordinate times.
For some ideas of existing podcasts that are similar to what I’m thinking of doing, check out these links:
I’d also need to think up a name for this podcast, which I am notoriously bad at doing, so if anyone can help me out with some ideas I’d be verygrateful
