I prefer to carry my bags as checked luggage on trains so that this type of thing cannot happen. Countrylink tickets do not have an address attached to them, just an initial and surmane and a phone number but as no proof of ID is requested you can call yourself what ever you like when booking. What annoys me even more than the scum doing these sorts of things is all the "bystanders" who do nothing when they witness these thigns happening. None of the other passengers could be bothered telling the PSA that the theft was taking place. That is even worse than the stealing!
